Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 29A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy David Cullinane - the delay with the extension at Garranbane national school, Dungarvan, County Waterford; (2) Deputy Bobby Aylward - delays with scoliosis treatment for children; (3) Deputy Maurice Quinlivan - delays with the opening of the new accident and emergency department at Limerick hospital; (4) Deputy Pat Casey - the sale of Ardmore Studios in Bray for development; (5) Deputy John Lahart - the NCPE decision on the Respreeza medication; (6) Deputy Gerry Adams - the HIQA report on financial irregularities at the Greenmount property at St. Mary's, Drumcar; (7) Deputy Seán Crowe - the pending prosecution of the speaker of the Catalan Parliament; (8) Deputy Clare Daly - the need to search US military aircraft at Shannon; (9) Deputy Robert Troy - vacancies on the boards of State agencies of the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport; (10) Deputy Billy Kelleher - the HSE service plan for 2017; (11) Deputies Ruth Coppinger, Mick Barry and Paul Murphy - the war in Syria and the latest developments in the city of Aleppo; (12) Deputy Dessie Ellis - the use of off-road vehicles in public parks and green areas; (13) Deputy Mattie McGrath - the upgrading and transfer of Clonmel Garda station in County Tipperary; (14) Deputy Mick Wallace - the new rent control plan; (15) Deputy John McGuinness - the need to upgrade the N24; (16) Deputy Declan Breathnach - the increased demand for participation in the GLAS scheme; and (17) Deputy Joan Burton - the shortage of substitute teachers for primary schools.

The matters raised by Deputies David Cullinane, Joan Burton, John McGuinness and Bobby Aylward have been selected for discussion.
