I hope the House can revisit this issue because a broader political debate is required. To respond to some of the comments made in this debate, Deputies should not be under any illusions; foreign direct investment has helped the economy and generated a large number of embryonic spin-off companies which service and learn from multinational companies. Software technology is one area which has developed because Intel and other companies have been located here for many years.
