To ask the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation if she accepts that the section on page three of the summer economic statement that the Government will support an increase in the minimum wage to €10.50 per hour over the next five years and will put in place mechanisms that mitigate the impact on employers in order to protect lower paid jobs, pre-empts and undermines the work of the Low Pay Commission; the specific mechanisms planned to mitigate the impact on employers; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
