As stated by the Ceann Comhairle, I have been asked to give the report of the business committee, as agreed at our meeting on 15 June. Today’s Government business shall be Pre-European Council Statements and the Revised Estimates for the Department of Justice and Equality. Private Members’ business shall be a motion on waste charges from the AAA-PBP. Tomorrow’s Government business shall be the Revised Estimates for the Department of Justice and Equality and the Department of Social Protection. Private Members' business shall be a motion on the arts by Fianna Fáil. Thursday’s Government business shall be the summer economic statements and the Second Stage of Deputy Maureen O’Sullivan’s Animal Protection (in relation to Hares) Bill 2015 will be taken in the afternoon slot. Friday’s business shall be Second Stages of the Water Services Bill 2016 and the Paternity Bill 2016.

I refer members to the report of the business committee circulated to Members last week. In relation to today’s business, there are two proposals. It is proposed that:

(1) the Pre-European Council Statements will conclude after 85 minutes, with the Minister and spokespersons having ten minutes each and the Minister having a five minute response, and Members may share time; and

(2)on the Revised Estimates for the Department of Justice and Equality, the Minister and spokespersons will have 15 minutes each and all other Members will have five minutes each and all Members may share time. The Minister will have five minutes to reply and the question will not be put today.

In relation to tomorrow’s business, there are three proposals. It is proposed that:

(1)the Dáil will sit late, to adjourn not later than 10.45 p.m.;

(2)the resumed debate on the Revised Estimate for the Department of Justice and Equality will conclude after two hours; and

(3)the debate on the Revised Estimate for the Department of Social Protection will conclude after two hours and 15 minutes, the Minister and spokespersons will have 15 minutes each, all other Members will have five minutes each and all Members may share time. The Minister will have five minutes to reply and the question will not be put tomorrow.

In relation to Thursday’s business, there are three proposals. It is proposed that:

(1)the Dáil will sit late and adjourn after the debate on Deputy Maureen O’Sullivan’s Animal Protection (in relation to Hares) Bill 2015;

(2)the summer economic statements will be taken immediately after voting time, to conclude after four hours, statements will be limited to the Minister and the spokespersons, who will get 30 minutes each, and they may share time; and

(3)Question Time will be taken immediately after the summer economic statements.

Finally, in relation to Friday, there are three proposals. It is proposed:

(1)to sit on Friday at 10.30 a.m. and to adjourn not later than 6.30 p.m.;

(2)to take Second Stage of the Water Services Bill 2016 at 10.30 a.m., to adjourn not later than 2.30 p.m., all Members may share time; and

(3)to take Second Stage of the Paternity Bill 2016 at 2.30 p.m., to adjourn not later than 6.30 p.m., and again all Members may share time.
