Nomination of Taoiseach (Resumed)
2:45 pm
David Cullinane (Waterford, Sinn Fein) | Oireachtas source
In the context of the new dispensation Deputy Micheál Martin, the Taoiseach and others state exists, they must also do business with Sinn Féin. When Sinn Féin brings forward proposals, which we will as we have many ideas and solutions, there also will be an onus and a responsibility on the Taoiseach and those who are part of this new arrangement to work with us. We are up for that challenge but sadly, when I consider what has been agreed, I must be honest with those outside this Chamber who are in dire straits and are seeking change and state they will not get it from this conservative arrangement of Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and Independents who have changed their colours and their stripes because they wish to get into power.
