Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Robert Dowds - funding for stroke rehabilitation; (2) Deputy Bobby Aylward - the status of the 317 outstanding compensation claims by members of An Garda Síochána for injuries received in the line of duty; (3) Deputy David Stanton - the Cost of Heart Failure in Ireland report and the need for a specialist heart failure unit in Cork; (4) Deputy Anthony Lawlor - increasing the number of carriages on commuter trains travelling to and from County Kildare; (5) Deputy Joe Costello - the status of the construction of Gaelscoil Bharra in Cabra in Dublin 7; (6) Deputies Eamonn Maloney and Ruth Coppinger - approval of funding for the cystic fibrosis treatment drug, Orkambi; (7) Deputy Colm Keaveney - the 2016 Health Service Executive service plan and the improvement of child and adolescent mental health services; (8) Deputy Clare Daly - the need for an independent investigation into the use of Shannon Airport by the military of the United States of America; (9) Deputy Mick Wallace - the need to inspect war planes of the United States of America using Shannon Airport.

The matters raised by Deputies Bobby Aylward, David Stanton, Robert Dowds and Eamonn Maloney and Ruth Coppinger have been selected for discussion.
