Financial Resolutions 2016 - Financial Resolution No. 5: General (Resumed)

The position is that the deficit has fallen from €22 billion in 2010 to a forecasted €4.5 billion in 2015. In contrast, the Fine Gael-Labour Party Government has guided the country out of the bailout programme that we inherited from the party of which the Member opposite is a member. We have corrected the public finances more quickly than anticipated.

That might be difficult for him, now that the recovery is under way. The people will decide.
