National Minimum Wage (Low Pay Commission) Bill 2015: Report and Final Stages

I move amendment No. 48:

In page 9, between lines 18 and 19, to insert the following:"(a) is found guilty of an offence under the Principal Act,".
The legislation sets out instances in which a member of the commission can be disqualified. It is important that members of commission have done right by employees previously. My amendment seeks to add a provision for disqualification of a person who has been found guilty of breaching the National Minimum Wage Act.
