Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Terence Flanagan - the measures to be taken to reduce the misuse of drugs; (2) Deputy Sean Fleming - the proposal to review the boundary between County Laois and County Carlow; (3) Deputy Michelle Mulherin - the need for a funding mechanism to grant-aid new group water schemes in disadvantaged rural areas impacted by the cessation of CLÁR funding; (4) Deputy Brendan Smith - the need to engage with Liberty Insurance to ensure the best possible supports for employees of the company; (5) Deputy Seán Kyne - the need to implement the report of the Oireachtas Joint Committee on policy options to support business growth and job creation and retention in town and village centres; (6) Deputy Ciara Conway - the need to secure assessments for the diagnosis and treatment of autism in University Hospital, Waterford; (7) Deputy Clare Daly - the need to address issues raised in the annual report on the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act; (8) Deputy Mick Wallace - the plans to address serious malpractice among senior gardaí in An Garda Síochána; (9) Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl - the need to ensure a child and adolescent health service is provided to an individual in voluntary care in County Kildare; (10) Deputy Catherine Murphy - the implications of the closure of the swimming pool at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth; and (11) Deputy Helen McEntee - delays in certain applications for Leader funding in Meath.

The matters raised by Deputies Ciara Conway, Brendan Smith, Michelle Mulherin and Seán Kyne have been selected for discussion.
