On behalf of the Technical Group and the Independent Deputies I offer deepest sympathy to the families of those who died tragically in Berkeley, San Francisco. It is a horrific day for those families and a very sad day for the parents. We all have had children who went to America on the J1 visas for the summer holidays, as students have done for many years. It is such a sad day for the families and I offer my deepest sympathies to them. I join all the Members of the Oireachtas in offering our support and solidarity, as well as our sympathy.
