Draft Commission of Investigation (Certain matters concerning transactions entered into by IBRC) Order 2015: Motion
9:00 pm
James Bannon (Longford-Westmeath, Fine Gael) | Oireachtas source
The Government embarked on the long road of reducing the costly legacy of Fianna Fáil, whose members buried their heads in the sand, as the Deputies opposite are trying to do again, about the nationalised Anglo Irish bank. Fianna Fáil Deputies have the neck to try to accuse the Government of not being close enough to IBRC and its workings. I am astonished by their short memories, particularly in the case of the former Minister, Deputy Micheál Martin, who, for 12 years, was a member of Fianna Fáil-led Governments that wrecked the country.
