To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine his plans to ensure present and future opportunities for the agrifood industry in the wake of conflicting issues, such as opportunities arising for new beef markets and the abolition of milk quotas and constraints arising from carbon reduction measures at European Union and global level; the degree to which he expects to be in a position to continue to expand the industry here while at the same time maintaining good practice in respect of carbon emissions; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
