To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the extent to which he expects to be in a position to recognise and reward the huge sacrifices made by the public and private sectors over the past seven years in the context of economic recovery with particular reference to the changing economic situation, notwithstanding the need to maintain prudent economic and fiscal policies; if he expects budget 2016 to reflect such principles; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
