I support the amendment. I would go further and say that while it is useful to have a few weeks after the budget, there is no technical reason the Dáil should not be presented with equality budgeting on the day of the budget. I acknowledge that the relevant committee has recently been to Scotland to examine its model, which is viewed by people in this area as best practice. I hope we can see some movement on this on very quickly.
