They seem to believe that we can have public services without taxes, that we can have investment without making provision for it, and, most spectacularly for a so-called party of the left, they are opposed to property taxes. Of all the contradictions, remarkable events and statements that I have witnessed in the House in the short period I have been here, the spectacle of a socialist party opposing property taxes stands out.
