Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Seán Kyne - the need to review the funding application decision for Connemara Community Radio; (2) Deputy Catherine Murphy - the lack of a Gaelcholáiste in the north Kildare area; (3) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan - the programme and targets in respect of the future strategic infrastructure required for Dublin city and Fingal county; (4) Deputy Dan Neville - the bypass of Adare village, County Limerick; (5) Deputy Clare Daly - the need to implement a new housing strategy; (6) Deputy Martin Ferris - the threatened discontinuation of the ferry linking Inis Mór on the Aran Islands to County Galway; (7) Deputy Róisín Shortall - the need to update regulations under the misuse of drugs legislation to curb the open street trading of benzodiazepines and Z-drugs; (8) Deputy Seamus Kirk - the issue of cattle rustling around the country; (9) Deputy Sean Fleming - the funding of the school meals local project scheme in Scoil Bhríde, Portlaoise, County Laois; (10) Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív - an gá go dtabarfar cúnamh breise do na teaghlaigh a choinníonn Gaeilgeoirí faoi Scéim na bhFoghlaimleoirí Gaeilge i 2015 de bharr an ualach a thitidh orthu de bharr táillí uisce tí; (11) Deputy Maureen O'Sullivan - the need for community rehabilitation services for stroke victims; (12) Deputy Charlie McConalogue - the investment plans for Malin Head; (13) Deputy Denis Naughten - the need to suspend the backdating by three months of the €5 million value for money cut to disability services; (14) Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl - the closure of the HSE dental clinic at St. James's Hospital; (15) Deputy Billy Kelleher - the concerns raised by the Irish Association for Emergency Medicine with regard to Ebola; (16) Deputy Michael Fitzmaurice - the budget for minor works grants in primary schools and the reliance of schools on such grants; (17) Deputy Robert Troy - the lessons that need to be learned by State agencies following the death of an individual (details supplied); (18) Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett - the need to take the Turkish PKK party off the list of terrorist groups; (19) Deputy Niall Collins - the communications with Northern Ireland counterparts on Sinn Féin-IRA cover-up of sex abuse; (20) Deputy Pat Breen - the need to review the eligibility for qualification for a special rate third level grant to facilitate cohabiting couples in certain cases; (21) Deputy Brian Stanley - the high costs of road haulage fees; (22) Deputy Dessie Ellis - the economic impact of fuel stretching in the midlands; and (23) Deputy Mick Wallace - the proposed new housing strategy.

The matters raised by Deputies Seán Kyne, Thomas P. Broughan, Seamus Kirk and Maureen O'Sullivan have been selected for discussion.
