To ask the Minister for Health in the context of the public health nursing diploma and the corresponding two year assignments which applicants undertake, if his attention has been drawn to the requirements of applicants to forgo permanent posts in the Health Service Executive, go on a new panel and take up new posts which are mainly based in Dublin region; the way this requirement impacts negatively on persons wishing to enter or transfer to the public health nursing sector but who are based outside of Dublin, particularly in the west; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
