In light of the comments by some farming organisation representatives yesterday in the Joint Oireachtas committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine on the bull beef crisis that there is market manipulation by processors and retailers, and also mindful of a potential price war on milk that seems to be breaking out in the United Kingdom where Tesco is selling four pints of milk for £1, I was going to ask under the consumer protection and competition Bill about the need for a statutory code of conduct for the grocery sector and the need for an independent adjudicator, which has never been more apparent than it is now. I accept the Taoiseach's answer earlier
