We have engaged with them. The regulator is the Central Bank. It has been made clear that if the Governor wants extra powers from the Government all he has to do is look for them.

The Central Bank has to audit the figures submitted by the banks. Up to 80,000 mortgages have been restructured. I assume these are not just recipients of letters indicating legal action.
