I move amendment No. 31:
In page 8, between lines 27 and 28, to insert the following:“CHAPTER 1
Medical treatment lawful under this Act
Rape and incest, risk to health and risk to well-being of the woman
7. (1) It shall be lawful for a woman, following consultation with her general practitioner, to obtain a termination of pregnancy if--(a) she believes her health, physical or mental, may be at risk if she were to continue the pregnancy,(2) A medical procedure under this section shall be carried out by an obstetrician at an appropriate institution subject to the consent of the woman.”.
(b) the pregnancy is as a consequence of rape or incest, or
(c) she believes it is in her best interests to do so.
