In fairness to the Chief Whip, he accepted the appearance rate of the relevant senior Minister was unacceptably low and unsatisfactory, saying, “I would be first to say that it is deplorable that some Ministers are calling for Dáil reform and, at the same time, do not co-operate with reform.” That is hard-hitting stuff from the Chief Whip.
