It was and is unjust and unfair that the people who are bearing the burden in this regard are those who have lost their jobs, who have had their pay costs, who are finding it harder to pay the mortgage and who are in very difficult circumstances. They are the people who are bearing the burden in this regard and the duty and responsibility of the Government, which it took on two years ago, is to get us out of that position. There is no point in anyone trying to pretend there is some kind of instant abracadabra solution to the economic crisis this country has been obliged to go through.
