The programme for Government includes a promise for the establishment of a State-controlled strategic investment bank. It was interesting to note the French introduced such an institution two weeks ago, which will pump €42 billion into small and medium-sized businesses. Is a State-controlled strategic investment bank still on the cards for the Government?
