It is a welcome suggestion. The Minister of State said the Minister has his job to and the Commissioner has his job to do. Our problem is that we are going around in circles making this demand with the Minister saying it is the responsibility of the Garda Commissioner, the Garda Commissioner refusing to meet us and the regions insisting that what we have we hold. At the same time people's homes are being broken into and the crime rate is increasing. If there is to be pain at least it should be equally shared.
