Question 108: To ask the Minister for Communications; Energy and Natural Resources the safeguards that are in existence to protect confidentiality of telephone calls emanating from banking and other financial institutions, insurance companies, telecom companies and a growing number of other organisations here (details supplied); if his attention has been drawn to the use of these techniques; and if he will introduce legislation to enable the recipients of these calls to be provided with a transcript of the tape recording within seven days of the recorded conversation.
