I expected the Minister of State to have a particular focus on small and medium sized enterprises, which are most affected by the increased cost of fuel. If we accept that the Minister for Finance is right in his contention, which I have outlined, surely the converse is also true and a reduction in tax on oil would increase spending in other areas of the economy.
