It is very unfortunate that sectional interests or powerful groups have had greater access to decision making in Ireland and have had more say than they should. It is not good enough for the Government to state the expert group will come up with the answers or that it will sort out the legislation in its own time because it knows best and knows what is good for everyone. It is not good enough that women will suffer over the coming months because this law will not be changed unless the Government side votes for this legislation. Such suffering should stop now.
