Thirtieth Amendment of the Constitution (Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance in the Economic and Monetary Union) Bill 2012: Second Stage (Resumed)
5:00 pm
Michael Colreavy (Sligo-North Leitrim, Sinn Fein)
It is a small issue compared with the enormous problems facing the national economy, but it shows that the Government is unable to fight for the rights of Irish citizens at a European level. How can the people trust a Government that tells them to vote "Yes" to the austerity treaty when all logical thought demonstrates that so doing would be bad for them and when that Government's performance in representing the rights of Irish people on the European stage has been so abysmal?
