It disturbs me there was no discussion on the common consolidated corporate tax base, CCCTB, with the British Prime Minister because Ireland must work much more proactively on this serious issue. Its potential impact on multinationals coming into Ireland and investing further is very serious and would be negative. The Department of Finance commissioned research that makes this point. However, Ireland appears to be adopting a silent approach in respect of corporation tax and the CCCTB.
