I do not want to be awkward but the Minister of State has not responded to my question about the timeframe. Is it open ended and how long can an employee continue as acting CEO? A CEO could be absent for two months or six months. It would appropriate to set out a mandatory timeframe for appointing of a new CEO. It is not good governance to allow an employee of the organisation to act as CEO for an indefinite period.
