Financial Resolution No. 13: General (Resumed)
9:00 pm
John McGuinness (Carlow-Kilkenny, Fianna Fail)
That may be so, but that day is gone since yesterday. The Government must now stand.
The choices the Government made yesterday tell us more about Fine Gael and the Labour Party after the election than we knew beforehand. Every word the Government utters and every action it takes tell us more it. Fine Gael and the Labour Party should stand up for what they stood for in the general election and deliver on it, because that is the mandate they received.
