Financial Resolution No. 2: Excise (Mechanically Propelled Vehicles)

If, two or three years ago, a Government told people to buy cars with lower emissions because it was the right thing for the environment and that it would incentivise them to do so and if a subsequent Government reverses the decision two years later and states it did not really mean it, essentially, those people will have been conned into taking decisions. It is an act of treachery by the State towards people, as well as a lack of faith. When this happens, no one will believe any Government from year to year with regard to fiscal or taxation measures it might introduce.
