Prison Accommodation
4:00 pm
Clare Daly (Dublin North, Socialist Party)
Question 3: To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality if he will consider halting the prison building plans at Dóchas and instead divert resources to provision of community based residential and therapeutic alternatives to prison for women, which are proven to be cheaper, more effective and more capable of addressing the complex needs of women offenders; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
