At midnight the senior and most eminent Member of the Oireachtas will retire after 14 years of service to the nation both at home and abroad. Will an opportunity be given in the House today to the leaders of the parties to show their gratitude and respect for the work she has done during her term of office? Will the Tánaiste vary the Order of Business to give us the opportunity to show our gratitude to the President on leaving office?
