The programme for Government boasts that this is "the first in the history of the State that is committed to developing a universal, single-tier health service, which guarantees access to medical care based on need, not income". The reality is very different, as many other speakers have outlined here this evening, and is as set out in the Technical Group motion. Every Deputy in this House could add further information to the lists already in the Technical Group motion about services terminated or cut back in their own constituencies.
