This morning, I visited Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. I visited it several times in recent months and witnessed many patients, some of whom were elderly, lying on hospital trolleys or sitting on chairs or the floors while waiting to be treated by an overstretched and overworked medical staff.
