We have to look at this debate in the context of the background in which it is taking place. We have to recognise that it would not be taking place at all if it were not for the financial legacy the Government inherited. We have to recognise that some of these decisions are being dictated to us under the EU-IMF deal. We should bring honesty and integrity to the debate and recognise the truthful background to it.
