Alan Shatter (Dublin South, Fine Gael)

After years of economic gloom, signs of hope are beginning to appear. Motions such as this are a profound disappointment, however, and a reminder that the Deputies opposite still have very little to contribute towards a solution to our very serious economic situation. As other Deputies have done and as I consistently do, I very much commend the work and commitment of our Defence Forces.
