School Transport
4:00 pm
Luke Flanagan (Roscommon-South Leitrim, Independent)
Question 3: To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if his attention has been drawn to the methods being employed under the school transport scheme in order to guarantee that certain services are terminated under the ten pupil rule; if he will agree that this application of the eligibility criteria unfairly excludes some families in view of the fact that when it comes to eligibility under the scheme, the distance from the school is measured from door to door even though the children in question have never been picked up from their houses; and if he will review its application.
