7:00 pm
Joe McHugh (Donegal North East, Fine Gael)
-----focused or biased in terms of a classification of people who end up in the wrong group at the wrong time in the wrong company and usually the predominant recurring theme is that there was drink or drugs involved. If that was the case, the social interventions that should follow, namely, some form of social support from social workers are not in place because the obvious and only alternative is for them to go to the AA. There is not a positive intervention in that respect. There should be social interventions for minors through social work and proper rehabilitation. They are not in place and that is something on which we must be sharply focused.
