The Deputy may be interested to learn that the matter was previously debated in the House. The Government yesterday approved the appointment of a number of Cabinet sub-committees, one of which will deal with the Irish language and the Gaeltacht and will be chaired by me. The Cabinet sub-committee will meet again tomorrow morning at 8.30 a.m. A debate on the matter will be held in the House as soon as is appropriate.
