I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss the statement by the Minister for Finance that the privatisation of State assets has been discussed with the IMF and the European Commission as part of the measures required to be implemented for the State to comply with the conditions attached to the programme of financial assistance; and to consider the serious implications this would have for existing State companies and the services they provide to the public.
