Adjournment Debate Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Jimmy Deenihan - the need to advance the building of a new school at Dromclough, Listowel, County Kerry, which was approved in 2002; (2) Deputy James Bannon - the need for the Minister to recognise the valuable work of Longford-Westmeath resource centres through the provision of essential funding for 2011; (3) Deputy Mattie McGrath - the plans of the Health Service Executive for the Cluain Arann welfare home in Tipperary town; (4) Deputy Frank Feighan - to ask the Minister for Finance for clarification of the availability of funds within Anglo Irish Bank to facilitate the submission of the Quinn Anglo proposal to ensure the Quinn Group will continue to operate in all markets on a normal commercial basis subject to the approval of the administrators and regulator; (5) Deputy Martin Ferris - the possible privatisation of State assets as part of the International Monetary Fund and European Union financial assistance programme; (6) Deputy Joe Costello - the need to reverse the decision to cut funding to certain regional airports; and (7) Deputy Alan Shatter - the sanction given by the Minister for Health and Children to the Health Service Executive for new arrangements to provide the executive with legal assistance.

The matters raised by Deputies Jimmy Deenihan, Martin Ferris, Mattie McGrath and Joe Costello have been selected for discussion.
