The Taoiseach said the he challenged the other parties to come clean and outline their alternative. He stated, "Given the seriousness of the situation, I do not believe this myth can be allowed to continue unchallenged. I was delighted to support this motion and look forward to the debate in Dáil Éireann next Wednesday". Last Thursday when I returned from Shannon, when I made the point to the Minister for Finance, who was sitting in the Taoiseach's, seat, that the IMF had suspended judgment on this deal because of the motion tabled by the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party, he said, "There is no decision of the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party. The Government has decided to submit the general arrangements to political approval next week".
