We all have members of families who have had the benefit of these services over the years. I am sure the majority of cases represented in this House, as elsewhere, would reflect that view as well. In no way should it dilute our sense of duty to those to whom that standard was not applied, as made evident in last night's programme. It is clear that a full and comprehensive review of all such cases must be conducted by local managers to ensure a situation like that we saw last night is neither prevalent nor continuing.
