If we objectively analyse this plan, it is the considered view of this Government that it provides the best balance between how we close the gap between what we spend and what we earn, between what needs to be changed in terms of public service provision and how we ensure our programmes are still in place and between how we maintain jobs and investment strategy and ensure we have a taxation policy and system which will raise sufficient revenues to meet the corrections and the adjustments that must be put in place.
