Some time ago on your advice, a Cheann Comhairle, I tabled a parliamentary question asking the Minister to indicate the likely costs to the State from the various tribunals. It is a sizeable sum, somewhere in the region of €500 million. I asked last week whether the Legal Costs Bill might be brought to the House with at least a view to stopping that train coming down the track before it reached its destination.
