I tried to raise this issue on the Adjournment on numerous occasions. I telephoned the Ceann Comhairle's office five or six times and was told to raise it in a general rather than a specific manner. When I raised it on the Adjournment I received a general and waffling answer which ignored the issue of respite care. The majority of the parents of the 63 adults concerned are elderly and many of them are living alone. The sum required in €150,000 and it is not good enough to be given the run around by the Minister and the Government. We are now unable to ask a question in this House on respite services for 63 families.
