There is a report in the Irish Independent today that some relief may be on the way for homeowners who are struggling to meet repayments on their mortgages. The Labour Party has been seeking this for more than two years and we will be delighted it the report is true. It appears to be based on anticipation of a report from the group set up by the Government to look at the difficulties households are having in paying mortgages. When will that report be published?
