As the Taoiseach is aware, he has made a number of private and public commitments regarding the introduction of legislation on offshore betting. Concern is growing among the horse and greyhound racing fraternities to the effect that the greyhound fund will collapse because of the proliferation of offshore betting.
It would help if this legislation was published before the summer. Only two weeks remain in this session. Does the Taoiseach expect it will be published over the next two weeks? Can the Taoiseach provide an assurance it will be published over the summer? It is a critical matter.
